Asa Boswell
Asa Boswell married Winnie Stinson daughter of Burwell Stinson, March 24, 1822 Clarke County, AL. Both Asa Boswell and Burwell Stinson are in Lauderdale County, MS tax roll of 1835. On Aug. 8, 1835 Asa Boswell was a Justice of the Peace for the Alamucha area of Lauderdale County, MS. Burwell Stinson married Martha Patsey Jones in Ogelthorpe County, GA on June 13, 1806 and both are buried in the Stinson cemetery in Lauderdale County, MS. Martha Patsy Jones is the daughter of William Jones born in Wake County, NC. Her nephew William Jones (son of Edward Jones) also lived in Lauderdale County, MS and married Julia Ann Scarborough, daughter of Frederick and Marion Scarborough. Another of Burwell's daughter's Sarah Stinson married her first cousin, as Martha Patsey Stinson the first wife of Frederick Scarborough was Burwell's sister, Sarah Stinson married Silas Scarborough April 28, 1830 in Clarke County, AL. Lula Virginia Boswell Joseph Asa Boswell was the Grandfather of the submitter of this update. The father of the submitter was Medie Earl Boswell, Sr. who was born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi on 22 January 1900. He married Lorena Barber.
